To renew registration online in LA, you must submit your request through the OMV’s official ExpressLane portal. To do so, you must provide your registered vehicle’s model year and Renewal Identification Number, or you may submit:

• Your car’s license plate number.
• Your car’s model, year and make.
• The date of purchase.
• The last six digits of the vehicle identification number (VIN).
