How to Renew Car Registration in Arkansas
You must apply for a car registration renewal in Arkansas before your vehicle’s license plate tags (stickers on the license plate) expire, as driving an automobile with invalid tags is unlawful in the state.

Checking Vehicle Registration Status Online in Arkansas
To apply for OMV registration renewal in AR, you must first pay any outstanding personal property taxes through your county assessor’s office.
Depending on your county, you may be able to check your vehicle registration status online by checking your personal property taxes.

Renewing for a Vehicle Tags in Arkansas

In Person
To perform your car reg check and renewal in person, visit any State Revenue Office in Arkansas to submit your request. You must apply in person if you need to update the name on your registration records or you are not eligible to renew online, by phone or by mail.
Note: During your office visit, you may need to present proof of automobile insurance.
Online
To renew your registration online in AR, you must be able to provide the Renewal Identification Number (RIN) and verification code from your OMV reminder card.
If you cannot provide this information, you must enter your ZIP code, license plate number and the last four digits of your vehicle identification number (VIN).
By Mail
To apply for a DMV car registration renewal by mail, complete and forward your reminder card to the OMV’s office in Little Rock.
Depending on the situation, you may need to include proof of a valid automobile insurance policy and/or written compliance of your personal property tax assessments.
By Phone
