About Replacing a Car Registration in New Hampshire

You must replace a lost car registration in New Hampshire if you misplace your current registration card or believe that it may have been stolen from you.

To obtain a duplicate registration card after damage, loss or theft, you must complete an application for a new copy of the registration and submit it to the New Hampshire DMV.

To purchase a replacement credential in person, you must visit your local DMV registration branch or municipal agent office. During your office visit, submit a completed application and payment for the required fee.

By Mail

When you replace car registration credentials by mail, you must forward your completed application and payment for the required fee to the DMV’s office in Concord.

Certified Copies

If you are in need of a certified auto registration replacement for legal purposes, you can complete a special request form, pay a fee and submit it to the DMV’s Concord office.

You have two options when completing the request: doing it in person or by mail.

Getting a New Hampshire DMV Copy of Registration Decals and Plates
