About Changing Your Name on Your Kentucky Registration

After obtaining your replacement Social Security card, the next step is visiting your local court clerk’s office. You must update the information on your Kentucky driver’s license within 10 days of legally changing your name. During your office visit, submit proof of Kentucky residency, evidence of your name change and the payment for the required fee.
