About Changing the Address on Your Arkansas Registration

Before Changing Car Registration Address in Arkansas

Before performing an address change on car registration credentials, you must update your information with the United States Postal Service (USPS) and correct the address on your Arkansas driver’s license.

You may change your address with the USPS either in person or online.

To change the information on your Arkansas driver’s license, submit your request online by providing your name, date of birth, driver’s license number and the last five digits of your Social Security Number (SSN).

If you cannot provide this information, visit a DFA Office of Driver Services to submit your request in person.

Requesting an Arkansas Address Change on Registration

You may perform a change of address online or in person, depending on your personal preference. Online requests are usually the quickest and most convenient, but you may visit a local Office of Motor Vehicles (OMV) if you prefer to change your mailing address in person.

To change your address online, log into your MyDMV Arkansas account by providing the last four digits of your registered vehicle’s identification number (VIN) and a full license plate number. Then, provide your ZIP code to search for your vehicle registration records and update your mailing information.

After logging into your account and changing your mailing address, the OMV will immediately update your vehicle registration records.

Before your next registration renewal period, the OMV will send your reminder notice to the new address on record.

In Person
